Five Screenings of Township to the Stage at @IDFA
Our documentary featuring @trevornoah and @loyisogola will have its international premiere at the 2011 IDFA. There will be five screenings (4 public, 1 industry) during the festival, and director @dpmeyer will do a Q&A after the Nov. 18th and 20th screenings. See you there!

Township to the Stage Selected for @IDFA 2011
Featuring @trevornoah our documentary will have its international premiere at the 2011 International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. The film will officially screen in the IDFA Competition for First Appearance, competing for the Award for Best First Appearance as well as the Audience Award for the whole festival.
The IDFA is the world’s largest documentary film festival held annually since 1988 in Amsterdam. It is consistently ranked as Europe’s top documentary film festival and as one of the most important festivals for documentaries in the world, standing alongside other fests like Sundance, Toronto, and Hot Docs.
Past films that have screened at the IDFA include The Cove (Academy Award for Best Documentary 2010), Bowling for Columbine (Academy Award for Best Documentary 2003), Oscar nominee Burma VJ, Oscar nominee The Most Dangerous Man in America, Werner Herzog’s Little Dieter Needs to Fly, and Herzog’s current documentary Into the Abyss which will also screen at this year’s festival.
Acclaimed director Steve James (Hoop Dreams, Stevie) will present his Top 10 favorite documentaries at this year’s festival.

“Township to the Stage” World Premiere at AFF
Featuring @trevornoah and @loyisogola, the feature documentary will have it’s official world premiere at the 2011 Austin Film Festival in October, screening in competition. The film will also have a special sneak preview screening at the New York Friar’s Club Comedy Film Festival.
From the bottom of my heart, thanks to everyone who has supported the film over the past few years. I’m excited to see where things go from here. Stay tuned!
